WA Residential Battery Scheme 2025
  • Applications for rebates and loans under the WA Battery Scheme are not open yet.
  • The WA Government is expanding its Residential Battery Scheme to provide rebate support for up to 100,000 households.
  • The WA Scheme will complement the Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program.
  • Combined rebates: Up to $5,000 for Synergy and up to $7,500 for Horizon Power customers.
  • State-based rebates breakdown:
      • $1,300 for Synergy customers ($130 per kWh)
      • $3,800 for Horizon customers ($380 per kWh)
  • Combined with the Federal program, residents can receive up to $5,000–$7,500 toward a 10kWh battery in the first year.
  • Households must join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) to be eligible.
  • List of approved equipment and suppliers is not confirmed. Proceeding based on assumptions is at your own risk.
